On Monday, December 18, 2023, the KONEKSI research consortium embarked on a series of survey activities in East Sumba Regency, NTT, marking a significant milestone in their research endeavors. Led by the RDI team, comprising Dr. Ayu Khrisna, Farijzal Arrafisena, Rahmah Aulia, and Debby Paramitasari, in collaboration with esteemed partners from Charles Darwin University, The PRAKARSA, Wira Wacana Christian University, Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, and the Institute of Resource Governance and Social Change (IRGSC), the consortium convened for an internal meeting aimed at strategizing data collection efforts from December 18 to 22, 2023.
During the meeting, a range of topics were deliberated, including insights gleaned from previous surveys on the socio-cultural fabric of the East Sumba community, evaluations of household survey findings, and meticulous planning for interdisciplinary workshops and in-depth interviews scheduled over the subsequent three days.
The discussions fostered a shared understanding of the region's social protection framework and community dynamics, laying a robust foundation for partners to delve into key thematic areas and generate potential publication ideas stemming from the research project. This collaborative effort underscores a concerted commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing pertinent societal issues within East Sumba Regency and beyond.
