Dr. Yosef Manik is a highly regarded scholar renowned for his expertise in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ecology and Environmental Science, and Sustainability Science. He completed his postdoctoral studies at Harvard University, specializing in Sustainability Science. Currently, he holds various pivotal roles including Head of Study Program, Curriculum Advisor, and Faculty Member of Environmental Engineering at President University. Dr. Manik’s expertise in Life-Cycle Assessment plays a role in the annual RDI event, “RDFact,” aimed at enhancing the implementation and development of Refuse-Derived Fuel.

With over 30 scholarly publications in esteemed journals and international proceedings, Dr. Manik’s research spans across diverse domains such as Sustainability Science and Life Cycle Engineering, Industrial Ecology and Circular Economy, and Contemporary and Sustainable Design and Manufacturing. Noteworthy is his track record of securing competitive research grants including those from DAAD, Fulbright, and most recently, in 2021, a grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture to conduct community outreach in Toba.
