Hoferdy Zawani, known as Ferdy, is an accomplished urban planner dedicated to crafting resilient and inclusive urban landscapes in Indonesia and around the world. Graduated with Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s in City and Regional Planning from Bandung Insitute of Technology, Ferdy possesses a solid educational foundation in urban and regional development.
Ferdy’s brings a wealth of experience to the table, having served in various roles such as Urban Sustainability Senior Program Lead at the World Resources Institute, Consultant at The World Bank, and Program Officer for UNICEF Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene at The Ministry of National Development Planning. In addition to his professional experience, he has also contributed outside academic, as a DUDI Reviewer in the Kedaireka Matching Fund of Kemendikbud, Project Officer at Paramadina Public Policy Institute, and participating in a Training Program by San Felasco Section of the Florida Chapter of the American Planning Association.
Ferdy’s expertise extends beyond academia; he brings with him a robust network focused on urban sustainability, cultivated through years of academic study and professional engagement. His commitment to advancing sustainable urban practices is evident in his diverse interests, which span disaster risk management, urban resilience, housing, slum alleviation, climate infrastructure financing, and road transport emissions inventory. Throughout his career, Ferdy has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to addressing the complex challenges facing cities worldwide. His multifaceted approach and comprehensive skill set will help strengthen RDI’s networking and leveraging its contribution towards Resilient Development field.
