The PIONEER mechanism, focused on inclusive humanitarian response, successfully completed its implementation in two regions in August 2022. A national workshop held in Jakarta in September aimed to share insights and recommendations. Notable outcomes include the importance of policy support at various government levels, strong community commitment to inclusive disaster risk reduction, and active involvement of persons with disabilities and the elderly in policy and program implementation. This workshop sets the stage for potential replication of the PIONEER model to enhance localized humanitarian response nationwide.
