RDI organized a Book Dialogue event titled “Overlooked Cities: Power, Politics, and Knowledge beyond the Urban South” on March 17, 2022. The event brought together the book’s authors and readers to discuss the concept of “overlooked cities” within the context of urban debates and interventions. The discussion emphasized that overlooking doesn’t imply mere ignorance but involves various presuppositions, prejudices, prioritizations, and expectations. Keynote speakers and panelists, including Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro and Dra. Retno Marsudi, attended the event. RDI presented its policy brief at the conference and plans to further develop it for the T20 Policy Brief Series based on the insights gained from this conference.
