In January 2021, RDI UREF organized a Refugee Management Stakeholder Mapping Workshop via Zoom, bringing together 14 participants, including researchers, academics, and practitioners in Indonesia working on refugee management. The workshop aimed to foster multidisciplinary collaboration and identify gaps in handling refugees at the municipal level. Participants engaged in three sessions: the first involved mapping national-level stakeholders in refugee management, the second featured group discussions on integrating refugees into urban policies using Makassar city and Bogor regency as case studies, and the final session comprised a panel presentation of findings. This initiative sought to lay the groundwork for robust research on refugee-in-transit and inform refugee management policies in Indonesia.
