Project Background
From a series of SIP iteration processes carried out since January 2021 in our locus in West Java province, various narrative patterns, challenges, and opportunities faced by the community were identified and more than 30 initiatives have been identified at five (5) levels, namely community initiatives, small/medium scale initiatives, large scale projects, public services, and regulation mechanisms, with Sustainable Tourism as the lens of implementation. This concept was chosen to answer the challenges and opportunities that exist at KPPN Citamansakti, which revolve around developing a community-based agrotourism portfolio increasing the capacity of tourism actors, strengthening sustainable agriculture and food systems, empowering women through the development of MSMEs, and strengthening local institutions, such as BUMDes/MA, farmers and fishermen cooperatives, as well as MSME groups, and tourism activists.
There were three business canvas models development In the first phase of SIP implementation in West Java, i.e. Kampung Wisata Berkualitas (KWB) in Desa Taman Jaya, showroom for community products of small-medium scale entrepreneurship (UMKM), and agrotourism of Mango Farm Business (MFB). Prototyping of KWB was launched in the first phase, and in this second phase, MFB’s agrotourism will be implemented. Besides, in this second phase, collaboration among stakeholders will also be encouraged.

Project Results and Findings
In the course of the project, there are several reflections and lessons learned gained from the method implementation. Some of the issues are private land, implementation time, and commitment issues from local and regional agencies.
Through the SIP Program, tourism development in the villages of Ciwaru and previously in Tamanjaya Village at the Citamansakti KPPN was part of the Ciletuh Geopark. Apart from improving the community’s economy, the objective of this program is to the Ciletuh Geopark itself which is already known worldwide. Recommendations are divided into two, namely recommendations for the implementation of SIP activities and also recommendations for upscaling the SIP initiatives.
Recommendations on SIP activities
There are several obstacles in carrying out SIP activities, including the lack of support from relevant stakeholders, community initiatives which are constrained by limitations, especially financial and capacity, and so on.
Recommendation on Upscaling the SIP Initiatives
In addition to recommendations for implementation, to ensure sustainability, the SIP initiative needs to be developed at the regional and national levels, so that more initiatives from the community level become policies both regionally and nationally.
