Transformasi Untuk Keadilan dan Walhi Indonesia, in partnership with Oxfam, are working on the application of village fund to resolve land conflict in Seluma (Bengkulu) and Banggai (Central Sulawesi). RDI is appointed by Oxfam to explore the current state of land conflict problems in both regions and how the communities utilize village fund provided by the Government to increase their resilience over the lengthily land conflict. The recent Village Law enacted in 2014 allows every village government to receive development fund from the national government about Rp 1 Billion annually. This research is expected to become a measurement strategy for the advocacy. The partner organizations will facilitate village government to plan and inclusively budget for these funds, prioritizing women’s and landless peoples’ livelihood interests.
