Familiarization of European Biogas in Indonesia through DiBiCoo Online Events
DiBiCoo has effectively organized two virtual study tours in Germany and Austria. As part of their commitment to showcasing European biogas technology, DiBiCoo's partners created pre-recorded videos of biogas plants in both English and German versions, which were made available for viewing. In addition to this, they conducted a web seminar on October 7th and November 18th, 2021, to delve into the operational intricacies of these biogas plants. This virtual study tour offered stakeholders from the target countries the opportunity to witness these technologies in action and engage in discussions with the developers during web seminars.
The inaugural DiBiCoo Virtual Study Tour, held on October 7th, 2021, provided an in-depth exploration of three distinct anaerobic digestion concepts through a virtual tour of biogas plants in Austria and Germany. Four speakers were featured, each covering a unique discussion topic. First, Bernadette Mauthner from Biogas Bruck/Leitha GmbH & Co KG guided the audience through Bruck an der Leitha, Austria, showcasing wet fermentation of organic waste, including kitchen waste and waste from the food and beverage industry. Following this, Josef Höckner from BioG GmbH presented wet fermentation of catch crops, agricultural residues like straw and grass, and manure/slurry at one of his plants in Utzenaich, Austria. Finally, Reinhard Walk from Rovi Energie AG took participants to AVA Augsburg, Germany, where he demonstrated dry fermentation (plug flow fermentation) of municipal biowaste, followed by subsequent composting.
In contrast to the first series, the second virtual study tour on November 18th, 2021, offered a comprehensive look at three different wood gasification concepts. Marcel Huber from Syncraft Engineering GmbH discussed the two-stage gasification of wood chips combined with charcoal fertilizer production for agriculture in Dornbirn, Austria. Wolfgang Felsberger from Urbas Energietechnik showcased direct-current fixed-bed gasification (downdraft gasification) of wood chips in Neumarkt, Austria. Lastly, Bernard Kirchmayr from Fröling Heizkessel- und Behälterbau GmbH presented another direct-current fixed-bed gasification of wood chips in Scheibbs, Austria. In addition to the virtual study tour, a third matchmaking event was held on November 23rd, 2021.
