Summary

Dr. Henri Sitorus has strong expertise in development program evaluation, children rights and advocacy, social development, sociology of health and social research methods. His previous services included as Country Director of Heifer International Indonesia where he led various research projects on poverty, sustainable rural livelihoods, food security program and livelihood disaster rehabilitation in Indonesia. He served ILO Jakarta as National Project Manager for ILO/US Declaration Project in 2001-2004. He also served as Executive Director of Handal Mahardika Foundation worked on children education and advocacy.

He has served as team leader for various project evaluation including for Save the Children. He was the team leader for Community Based Rehabilitation for CWD Project of Save the Children in West Java and Road Safety Project. He also serves research manager for Evaluation of Green Prosperity Project of MCC in Indonesia.

He has been team leader for various other evaluation related to disasters response such as: (i) Team Leader for Final Evaluation of Disaster Recovery Project in Kelud and Sinabung, FAO, UNDP and ILO (March 2017). Service performed as Research Fellow of Resilient Development Institute (RDI) of Bandung. Evaluation Team Leader for Community Managed Livelihood Promotion (CMLP) Project by Caritas Indonesia and Pontianak, supported by Caritas Switzerland, June – August 2016; (ii) External Consultant for Mapping Traiing Service Providers in Medan for FOR ILO Project of The Sinabung Recovery Support Programme (SIRESUP), March 2016; (iii) Team Leader for Disaster Risk Reduction project of USAID and PCI of “Cross Sectoral Strategies for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (CADRE) in Indonesia (Bengkulu Province), January – March 2015; (iv) Team Leader of Project Final Evaluation of “Livelihood Empowerment for Disaster Resilience in Lahusa – Gomo in Nias” Caritas Sibolga and Caritas Italy. October 2014; (v) Team Leader of Project Final Evaluation of Livelihood Resilience in Disaster Prone Areas in Jambi and Bengkulu, Caritas Indonesia, PANSOS, Caritas Italy, Mid October – Mid November 2014. He also has served as team leader for various project evaluations.
