Alpian Angga Pratama has conducted a number of research studies on children and youth disaster risk education, social capital, community institution, and remittances of migrant workers in several areas of Indonesia. Currently, he is a researcher at Resilience Development Initiative (RDI), Bandung, Indonesia. He graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand with a master thesis about the potential of school-based disaster education to strengthening a family resilience. Furthermore, Alpian has been exposed to a set of skills on statistics, qualitative research, geo-information system, and ability to do research in social research independently. Moreover, he also serves as a volunteer of Bandung Disaster Study Group that actively arranges disaster education for children and youth in West Java and Jakarta, Indonesia. He also actively writes articles for international and national journals and presents conference paper, both international and national conference.
