Ramanditya holds a doctoral degree in Sustainability Science from the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), Tokyo, Japan. Since 2011, he has researched community resilience to disaster and climate change in Indonesia. Prior to his doctoral study, he led several consultancy projects with local governments and non-governmental organizations in Indonesia for issues related to disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, and community welfare (e.g., child protection and palm oil conflict resolution). Since taking his master’s and doctoral study, he has developed his research interest in low carbon transition, urban governance, and energy policy. He received prestigious scholarships to support his postgraduate studies, including the Fulbright Scholarship and the Japan Foundation for United Nations University. He is now an associate at CARI!, a web-based search engine for risk and resilience, and a fellow researcher at Resilience Development Initiative, a think tank based in Bandung, Indonesia.
