Mid-Term Review of OXFAM SDG’s

Within the framework of the OXFAM Indonesia sustainable development project, RDI senior fellow, Saut Sagala, and researcher Ramanditya Wimbardana actively participated in the mid-term assessment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project. The primary focus of this evaluation revolved around three specific SDGs:

  1. **Goal 1:** End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
  2. **Goal 5:** Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
  3. **Goal 10:** Reduce inequality within and among countries.

Collaboratively, the teams from both RDI and OXFAM, comprising Richard Manning, Fahmi, and Kent, embarked on a field visit to Kabupaten Pangkep and Kepulauan in South Sulawesi, as well as Kabupaten Dompu in West Nusa Tenggara. During their journey, they engaged in meetings with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and local government representatives, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the local communities in these regions.

Their visit to Pangkep included interactions with coastal and mountain communities, while in Dompu, they met with coastal and farming communities. The significance of these three SDGs extends from the national level down to local communities, making it vital to assess their progress at all levels. This review process contributes valuable insights into the achievements of OXFAM and its partners in advancing the SDGs, benefiting both local and national efforts.
