Water security and climate change conference (WSCC 2016) was organized by the exceed centers CNRD (TH Köln, Germany) and SWINDON (TU Braunschweig, Germany) together with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This conference is a platform for engaging leading experts in the region and beyond in discussions on water security issues in Asia in order to facilitate the path towards water-secure societies. The participants were come from various countries in Asia, like Thailand, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Philippines and also participants from other countries like Australia and Germany. The big theme of the conference was to present some challenges and opportunities toward water security and climate change in Asia.


On the second day of the conference, I was presenting my presentation entitled "Resilience Perspective on Water Management in Indonesia". My session was grouped with other prominent scholars and researchers with theme on "Regional and National Level Water Security Enhancement Interventions" The aim of my paper is to seek of components of water resilience from the literature along with its application in Indonesia, which provides examples of best practices and lesson learned for other regions in Indonesia.


I had an opportunity to meet with Rajendra Singh. He is a well-known water conservationist from India and also known as waterman of India. He won the Stockholm Water Prize in 2015, an award known as "the Nobel Prize of Water". Furthermore, I also met Professor Robert Costanza. He is from Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He is the author and co-author of over 600
