The conference consisted of a number of fascinating activities ranging from the presentation of Guest of Honor by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, M.A.P and Keynote Speech by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Makarim, Roundtable Discussions from experts in their fields and panel discussions, to various supporting activities such as poster presentations, book fairs, and screenings of films about Southeast Asia. Specifically, the panel discussion covered nine sub-themes which are strategic issues in the Southeast Asia region, and RDI participated at Panel 1 - New Models of Economic Development in Southeast Asia.

On this occasion, Fahmi Rizki Fahmi–a Research Officer of Resilience Development Initiative (RDI), represented as a panelist to deliver a speech entitled: “Let the Community Decide: Examining Grassroots and Policy Level Initiatives in KPPN Citamansakti, Indonesia.” The study was about reflection and further analytical views on what was going on under development among villagers in Sukabumi Regency. The analysis was important to be discussed at this conference as it attempts to respond to the latest developments and challenges experienced by countries in Southeast Asia related to political, economic, socio-cultural dynamics in the region.

Eventually, RDI would express gratitude to those involved in such a dynamic event that we could disseminate and participate amidst academic forums to enrich and share knowledge on contemporary strategic issues in Southeast Asia.
