Urging Big Environmental Collaboration in Jakarta Environmental Agency’s Large-Scale Social Collaboration Forum (KSBB)

Jakarta Environmental Agency (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi DKI Jakarta) held a forum to on 23 February 2023. The forum itself was held in the Jakarta DPMPTSP Public Service Mall Meeting Room. The Jakarta Environmental Agency made this as a Large-Scale Social Collaboration Forum aimed to report on the past works of the local agency in handling environmental problems and hopes this might urge a large-scale collaboration involving relevant stakeholders, which includes several governmental agencies, NGOs, CSO, and private sectors.


As the name suggests, the participants who came from the meeting were representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Health, National Research and Innovation Agency, and more. RDI was also invited to attend the forum. Dr. Elisabeth Rianawati (RDI Director and Senior Research Fellow), An Nisaa Siti Humaira (Program Officer), Maya Larasati (Research Officer at WWM and REER cluster), Martha V. (Outreach Officer), and Alifia Putri Rahmadewi (Multimedia Officer) came as our representative.



Mr. Edi Mulyanto from Jakarta Environmental Agency gave the opening remark to begin the forum. After that, the participants were separated into three groups based on three topics which were Waste, Climate Change, and  Air Quality and Water. Each discussion group was given the relevant info for future agenda and target for Jakarta regarding each related topic and discussed knowledge on lesson-learned and/or current work in order to build and strengthen the collaboration to reach said target. To conclude the day, Mr. Asep Kuswanto as the head of the Environmental Agency gave the closing remark. Still, the collaboration continues because the next meeting was scheduled for the upcoming month to further discuss each topic and integrate a more synergized work program.
