In this newsletter we feature several updates and activities:

1. Powering Up Women and Youth in Lombok and Makassar
RDI had the opportunity to conduct baseline study for two of Oxfam Indonesia’s program: “Power Up - Women Shaping Their Future” in Lombok Island and “Mapping & Assessment - Empower Youth for Work (EYW)” in South Sulawesi.

2. RDI Participates in GNDR Meeting
RDI invited A regional meeting of GNDR was held at Evergreen Place Hotel in Bangkok, 22-24 August 2017.

3. Hands-on Training Workshop of Flood Inundation Modelling and Assessment for Jakarta, Indonesia
On August 23-24, 2017, the United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNI-IAS) held a consultation workshop on water and urban initiative together with trainings about water quality entitled “Hands-on Training Workshop of Flood Inundation Modelling and Assessment for Jakarta, Indonesia” and at Grand Kemang Hotel in Jakarta.

4. Hands-on Training Workshop of Flood Inundation Modelling and Assessment for Jakarta, Indonesia

5. Lecture by Dr. Ari Tarigan
Dr. Ari Tarigan, cluster chair of Infrastructure Urban Governance visited RDI to give a lecture about transport safety in Malaysia in case of motorcycle users.

6. Lecture by Dr. Elisabeth Dewi
Dr. Elisabeth Dewi is a lecture from Parahyangan University (UNPAR) and also head of Parahyagan Center for International Studies (PACIS), she gave a lecture on migrant worker challenges in west java province, particularly in Cianjur District.

7. Lecture by Dr. Akino Tahir
Dr. Akino gave a lecture on her research about community-based solid waste management.

8. Lecture by Hilman Agung
Hilman Arief from Oxfam was invited to speak about Market System in WASH Management During Emergency Situation.

9. Voice of Members
