Background:
Climate change is threatening children’s lives and their basic rights to education, health, clean water and the right food. Up to 175 million children are likely to be affected every year by natural disasters due to climate change. Climate changes occur, and the rise of climate temperature could further trigger extreme events. Climate change poses impacts to many vulnerable populations, including children. Children are particularly affected by climate change due to their stage of rapid development and less ability to deal with deprivation and stress.
